GraduateCenter^LMU Online Workshop for Doctoral Candidates

The aim of this online workshop is to prepare and develop self-explanatory slides based on participants' own research findings, e.g. for a conference or their thesis defense.

In the theoretical part of the workshop, participants will learn techniques for structuring complex information logically and for designing easy-to-understand slides. In the practical part, participants will then apply these techniques to their very own research findings and produce their own presentation. By the end of the workshop, participants will get a complete draft of their academic presentation.

Please note: This workshop focuses on the logic of good presentations, it does not cover the use of presentation software like PowerPoint.

• Designing optimal slides
• Identifying the context of a presentation
• Developing a well-structured conference presentation or thesis defense from participants' own research findings

Target group: Doctoral candidates of LMU Munich (the number of participants is limited)

Certificate of attendance: Participants will receive a certificate of attendance from the GraduateCenter^LMU.
