A doctorate is a real challenge in itself. International doctoral candidates, moreover, deal with situations they would not face in their home country. Navigating local peculiarities, expectations and obligations can feel confronting and confusing. This peer-to-peer event addresses the particular challenges most international doctoral candidates must overcome. In interactive elements, participants will share their experiences and develop strategies to deal with the most common problems they can encounter in a foreign (academic) culture.
