Applications for 2026 are now open
The Center for NanoScience (CeNS) is accepting applications for the 2026 intake.
Deadline: January 30, 2026, at 12:00 (noon) CET
Only complete applications submitted via this online portal before the deadline can be considered.
How to apply
- Select at least one research project in your application. All projects are listed here
- Provide contact details and email addresses for two referees.
- If your application is pre-selected, your referees will be contacted directly by the CeNS office or the project PI.
- Please inform your referees in advance about this procedure.
Prepare the following:
- Curriculum Vitae (≤ 2 pages, reverse chronological).
- Motivation statement (see guidance below).
- Transcripts and degree certificates (with official or certified translations where applicable)
- Contact details for two referees (preferably with institutional email addresses).
- Any additional materials requested by the portal (e.g., thesis abstract, publications)
Timeline
- January 30, 2026, 12:00 (noon) CET — Deadline for online applications
- By February 13, 2026 — Pre-selection decisions communicated (refusal or invitation to interviews)
- From April 2026 — project start dates (vary by project)
